The Redmi AirDots 3 True Wireless Stereo Bluetooth headset is the successor to the Redmi AirDots 2 which was launched last year. The design of this new version didn’t change significantly from the previous model but there are some improvements in the functions.
The Redmi AirDots 3 is driven by a QCC3040 chipset and the Bluetooth version is upgraded to Bluetooth 5.2 from Bluetooth 5.0 used on the AirDots 2. In terms of battery life, Redmi AirDots 3 have a 43mAh battery in the earbuds and a 600mAh battery in the charging case. Xiaomi claims the TWS earphones can deliver seven hours of playtime on a single charge and a total of 30 hours with the charging case. The earbuds take 1.5 hours to charge fully while the case takes about three hours and uses a USB Type-C port. Redmi AirDots 3 come with IPX4 water resistance and weigh 4.6 grams each with a total weight of 51 grams with the charging case.
Further, the Redmi AirDots 3 supports multi-functional touch control, built-in XiaoAI voice assistant, and MIUI compatible pop-up window to enable instant viewing for connection and battery status. The storage box utilises a USB-C port which should deliver fast charging. The earbuds also come with an IPX7 rating. The earphones also support Environment Noise Reduction technology so whenever you are on a call, it removes the unnecessary surrounding noises for better sound clarity.
